  • Usage Data: Videos you add, markers you create, practice statistics, playlists you create, and comments you post.
  • Technical Data: Basic server logs including IP addresses and browser information for security and debugging purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Slow Down service
  • Save your practice progress, markers, and preferences
  • Display your public profile, playlists, and videos (if you choose to make them public)
  • Enable social features like following and comments
  • Send important service announcements (rarely)

Third-Party Services

Slow Down integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth: Used for authentication. We only access basic profile information needed to sign you in.
  • YouTube API: Used to embed and search for videos. Your use of YouTube content is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe: Processes subscription payments. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We only share your information in these limited circumstances:

  • When you make content public (your profile, playlists, videos, comments)
  • With service providers who help operate Slow Down (hosting, payment processing)
  • If required by law or to protect our rights

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices. We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View all your data through your profile and video pages
  • Delete: Remove your videos, markers, playlists, and comments at any time
  • Export: Contact us if you need a copy of your data
  • Account Deletion: Contact us to request complete account deletion

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Children's Privacy

Slow Down is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify users through the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
